Do LIFX lights require a bridge or hub?
No. All LIFX lights have Wi-Fi technology built-in, allowing them to connect directly to your home router without the need for an additional hub.
Are LIFX bulbs compatible with voice assistants?
Yes, LIFX products work seamlessly with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant for hands-free voice control.
Can I use LIFX lights outdoors?
Only specific models are rated for outdoor use. Please check the product specifications for an IP65 rating before installing lights in exterior locations.
What happens if my Wi-Fi goes down?
You can still use your standard wall switch to turn the lights on and off. However, smart features and scheduling will be unavailable until the connection is restored.
Do LIFX bulbs support 5GHz Wi-Fi networks?
Most LIFX products are designed to connect to 2.4GHz networks to ensure maximum range and stability through walls.
Are the bulbs dimmable?
LIFX bulbs are dimmable via the LIFX app or voice control. We do not recommend using them with traditional hardware dimmer switches.
